Biography

Anna Vercellotti was born in northern Italy in 1983.

After studying Graphic Design in Milan she moved to London where she graduated in 2012 in Product Design at the Central Saint Martins school of Arts. Her dissertation titled “Deus ex Machintosh” explores visual and strategic similarities between brand and religious communication. It was exhibited at the Design Junction London’s Contemporary Design Show together with her “Touchless Station” a provocative sculptural piece that embodies the topic of the dissertation.

She worked glass in Murano and won Premio Arte Laguna for the glass art residency in 2014 with the piece “Made in Murano” made in collaboration with glassmaster Giancarlo Signoretto.

Her latest photographic works investigate the mysterious nature of the image as realm between reality and imaginary, together with topics as absence, time and contemplation.

Anna Vercellotti lives and work in Venice exploring visual language through photography, writing and design.
